What it says
Forty-nine years. Ephraim, two nights, room 6. We have decided this is the last time for a while: next August is spoken for.
He asked what I wanted for the fiftieth. I said Sogndal, and for him to walk up the hill with me this time instead of going off to look at a bridge. He said there is a bridge on the way.
It rained on the fish boil, and they held it anyway, under a tarp. R. had the whitefish and mine.
