What it says
R. had his hearing tested yesterday and, to my surprise, has agreed to hearing aids. Both ears, worse on the left, which is the side I walk on. The audiologist played him sentences with half the consonants missing, and he got about three in four. I have said everything twice since about 2020.
What persuaded him was Kelsey Vanderhoef showing him a chart with a curve on it. He asked what the aids weigh, how long the charge lasts and whether they can get wet, and then he said, "All right." The fitting is the 16th.
