What it says
Nate Lahti's crew started the porch on the 3rd: fourteen feet by twenty on the lake side, screened, from Samir's drawings, which arrived in a tube last fall as a present. The footings are in. R. has checked them with his own level and pronounced them "within reason."
Alice Nettesheim from the quilt guild died on the 6th. Her fabric has come to the guild in eleven boxes. I helped sort it on Monday and found, folded in among the blues, a note to herself in pencil: "too good to cut."
The opener was the 1st, and Jim Hrdlicka was back in the bow, vaccinated, thinner, and louder than ever. Nine walleye.
