What it says
Easter. The two of us, a ham the size of a softball, and the service on the laptop. I put on a dress. R. put on a tie, saw me looking, and said, "It's Easter."
Bill Thronson died on Tuesday, R.'s first boss. There will be no funeral, because there can be none; the family will "gather when it is possible." R. read the notice twice and went and stood in the garage. He would have been asked to carry.
Ellen calls every evening now from the clinic parking lot, with her mask pulled down round her neck. She asks what we have touched.
My Medicare began on the 1st. The card came in a plain envelope and I put it in the safe.
