What it says
We signed the wills and the trust this afternoon at Rebecca Stannard's office. It took fifty minutes and eleven signatures apiece. The house and the cabin belong, on paper, to the trust now. R. asked whether that changed the property tax, was told no, and was content.
Ellen is named to speak for us if we cannot, each of us after the other. I telephoned her last week to ask whether she would. She said, "Mom, I've been doing it since I was twelve."
The old wills were from 2003, before the cabin and before any of the grandchildren. I feel lighter, which I did not expect.
We went to the Nordic Table afterward.
