What it says
The party was yesterday. Mama had outfits made for all of us in the same blue and gold cloth and when we walked in together people clapped. I have never been clapped for wearing clothes.
Marcus took the kids to his father's grave on Friday. I stayed back at the car at first because I thought it was theirs to do, and then Folake came and got me by the arm and said "you're his daughter too, come." So I went.
Eli asked if Baba could hear us. Marcus said "I talk to him like he can."
