What it says

Labor Day, all day at Mom's, Roz off. A good one. We picked the last tomatoes. She made cornbread, start to finish, no help, didn't measure, and it was right. She told me how she met Dad at the skating rink in Benton. She was eighteen and he was just out of the Army and he couldn't skate. He held the rail the whole night and asked her three times if she wanted a Coke. Every detail the same as I've always heard it. She asked about Camille's school and remembered the answer an hour later. I don't know what makes a day like this. Slept good, ate good, nothing new to trip on.
