What it says
the bags are out. I went to the co-op on purpose and stood in the coffee aisle like a creep.
eight of them in a row, kraft, each with its bird and its one colour. they look like a family, which is what Rashid wanted. the loon faces left and the rest face right and it does look like the loon is being difficult.
a woman picked up the Kingfisher, turned it over, turned it back, and then held it closer and I watched her find the kettle. it's in the curve of the branch. she smiled at a bag of coffee. she bought it.
I bought the Junco, the decaf, because nobody will and it's the quiet one and I feel responsible for it.
told June at dinner. she said "you made a stranger look closely at something. that's the whole thing we do."
