What it says
The Salt Orchard cover went to Odette at 11:12 tonight. due today. made it by 48 minutes.
it should have been done friday. friday night I flattened the file to send a preview and saved over the layered version. two days of colour, gone, one click, no backup, because the backup "was going to be set up this weekend." I sat very still for a while. then I did it again from the ink scan. saturday, sunday, tonight.
the second version is better. the rows turn into waves lower down and the colour is quieter. I'm not grateful. I'm just saying it's better.
Odette replied at 11:30, which means she was up too: "Yes. This is it. Invoice me." three sentences. I've read them about thirty times.
1,400 dollars for my first book cover. I'm going to bed.
