What it says

Taxes: the folder went to Denise yesterday. What was in it, as a checklist for next year: 1. My pension statement (the state's 1099-R). 2. Both Social Security statements. 3. The 1099s from Pemberwick: my IRA, Ray's IRA, the trust account. 4. Interest from the credit union. 5. Property tax receipts: Hawkstone Drive, both halves; the cabin, in full. 6. The church's giving statement, and the year-end cheques (food bank, public radio, Friends of the Library, the ramp people). 7. The four estimated-tax payments, federal and state, with dates. 8. Medical. The two lens bills from last spring. 9. Her engagement letter, signed. Not needed, per Denise: the cabin's upkeep, the boats, the generator. In 2026 Ray must begin taking money out of his IRA. Tom Kittleson should talk to her before the first withdrawal about how much tax to hold back.
