What it says

The first bunk quilt: finished. No. 50. The first quilt I have finished since Lucas's, two years and three months ago. Eyes, Lorraine, a year of not wanting to. The blue one, for the lower bunk on the lake side. 60 x 80. Ten strips running the long way, six inches finished, in blues from the scrap tubs. Backed in navy flannel, quilted by me in straight lines two inches apart, bound in red. Label: "Bunkhouse, Skein Lake. Blue. 2025. No. 50." Hannah slept under the duck quilt all summer. She is to have this one next time. The green top is next, then red and gold, which are not yet cut.
