Arnie
What it says
Per Ray, the new boat.
Before the ramp:
1. Drain plug IN. Check it by hand. Check it again.
2. Transom straps OFF. Bow strap stays ON until the boat is floating.
3. Motor tilted UP. Trailer lights unplugged before the trailer goes in the water.
4. Key, life jackets, bow line in the boat.
Breaking in the motor, first ten hours:
- First hour: vary the speed, never over half throttle, no long idling.
- Second hour: up to three-quarters, change speed every few minutes.
- Hours 3 to 10: full throttle is allowed, five minutes at a time.
- First service at 20 hours. Pike Bay does that one; after that he does his own.
Trailer: tires 50 psi cold. Lug nuts 90 foot-pounds. Check both before every trip on the highway.
The old Alumacraft went to Arnie's nephew this morning.
