What it says
Family week 2019: thirteen, a puppy and a pontoon.
Per Ray, the pontoon rules, posted in the boathouse:
1. The plate says ten people. Ray says eight, plus the dog.
2. Life jackets ON for anyone under 13, and for Theo at all times within sight of water.
3. Nobody rides in front of the rail.
4. The driver is over 16 and has had the motor explained by Ray. So far that is Ray, David and Mark.
5. Motor OFF before anyone goes in the water. Not idling. Off, key out.
6. Ladder down at the back before swimming, up before starting.
What did not work: thirteen people and one bathroom, again; the tent in Wednesday's storm.
