What it says

Gulf Shores: arrived yesterday at 4:40, two days and 1,048 miles by the odometer. Notes on the place for next year, if there is a next year. - Egret Pointe, unit 407. Wade, the building manager, is in the office off the lobby from 8 to 4 and has the spare key card. - Parking space 31. The truck fits with four inches to spare and Ray measured. - Two elevators. The left one is slow and the right one is often out. Gus prefers the left. - Dogs are walked on the grass on the north side only, never on the beach in front of the building. There is a dog beach two miles east. - The kitchen has six of everything, one good pot and no sharp knife. I brought mine. - Groceries: the big store on the highway, ten minutes. Shrimp from the place by the bridge with the hand-painted sign; ask for the ones off the boat that morning. - The washer and dryer are in the hall closet. Sand goes everywhere regardless. Dottie's rules, taped inside the cupboard: no smoking, no grills on the balcony, trash down the chute by 9 p.m., and strip the beds on the last day.
