What it says
Arnie Gustafson had a stroke yesterday morning, July 19. For anyone who asks:
- He was last himself at 6:10, per Bev. She telephoned us at 6:40. The ambulance came from Woodruff in nineteen minutes; from there he went to Wausau by helicopter.
- Hannah was there before I was and did the right things in the right order.
- He had the clot medicine inside the time allowed.
- As of last night: he can speak and knew Ray. The left arm and leg are weak. Nobody will say yet how much comes back.
- Bev is at the hospital. Kristi has come down from Duluth.
What we are doing:
1. Their cat: fed, morning and night, by me. The key is on our hook.
2. Their grass, their boat, their mail from the box at the highway: Ray.
3. Bev is to eat. Soup and a loaf go to Wausau with Ray each trip.
4. Kristi would like to be written to by email, not telephoned, if we notice anything Bev is not telling her.
5. Their gate: I have the code. The ambulance did not, and Ray held it open by hand. Bev says to give the code to Earl as well. Done.
