What it says

Closed the cabin. Last night R. sat on the porch with his coffee and dictated the whole closing procedure to me, in order, eleven steps, with pressures and breaker numbers, so that the children will have it. I added the quilts and the starter. He says the starter is not part of closing the cabin. Harlan Nygaard died on the 11th. He riced potatoes beside R. in the church kitchen every November since 1996. R. helped carry him on Wednesday, in the dark suit, and came home and said the casket was lighter than he expected. Two weeks to the dinner.
