What it says
The CR-V is gone. We traded it yesterday at Capitol Ridge for a new Toyota, a RAV4, the hybrid, in a color called Lunar Rock, which I like more than I expected to.
Eleven years and two months, 118,412 miles. It took us to Naperville the morning Owen was born, and to Arbor Bluff in nine minutes with R. holding the handle. I cleaned it out myself on Friday and found a dog biscuit under the seat.
The saleswoman, Sofia, talked to me the whole time, as the buyer, and when R. asked about the battery warranty she answered him and turned back to me. In the parking lot he said, "She was good."
It makes no noise at all backing out of the garage. Nine miles on it.
