What it says

Last December at school. The winter concert was Thursday. I have sat through thirty of them on a folding chair by the gym door, in case of nosebleeds. I have read "A Gentleman in Moscow" twice through, once fast and once properly. A man is sentenced to spend his life in a hotel and makes a whole world of it. Christmas here this year. Maeve's first; Lucas has asked Santa for "a fish."
