What it says
Filed the claim on Mom's long-term-care policy yesterday. I read the whole policy first, twice, with a highlighter, like a spec book. It does cover home care. It's been sitting in that box the whole three years I've been writing checks to Gentle Ridge.
I could be sick about that. Three years. But she wouldn't have qualified at three mornings a week with her mind mostly right. She does now.
Dad bought it in 2004 from a man at church, for both of them. His lapsed when he died. He never used a dime of it. He never said a word about it to me. It was on the list in the fire box. Item 9, in pencil. "LTC - Lanternfield - for your mother."
