What it says

Whitlow again. Roz called at ten this morning and said Mom didn't know what day it was and was asking for Dad to come in from work. She had a fever. It's a urinary infection, and at her age and with her memory that's enough to take the floor out. She's on an IV. I told three different people about the penicillin and the sulfa. It was already on her wristband. I told them anyway. She knew me tonight. She didn't know the year. Around eight she asked me, "Has Walter eaten?" I said yes ma'am, he's eaten. She said good, and went to sleep.

Why it exists

note_contradicts_record Her allergies are in many places and not in the same words. Penicillin and sulfa are in all of them: the 2023 note, both discharge packets, the 2023 summary, the printed list, a note and a journal entry from May 2026. Codeine, oxycodone and lisinopril are intolerances in his note and on the hospital's sheets. The May 2026 face sheet also lists latex. His 2023 note says "no latex" and a note of May 22, 2026 says the hospital's entry is wrong and that he means to have it removed; nothing shows that it was. He is right, but an answer should give penicillin and sulfa as certain and report the latex entry as disputed.

Story, 2026-05-20: Lorraine is admitted for two nights with a urinary infection and confusion. In June the aide goes to five mornings a week.
