Some man called Mom yesterday and said he was her grandson and he was in jail. She was looking for her pocketbook when Roz took the phone. I've been angry for twenty-four hours at a person I'll never find. Not that he tried to steal. That he said "Grandma" to her in a voice she wanted to believe, and for a minute she had a grandson in trouble, and she was scared for him.
