What it says

Yesterday Roz walked in and found Mom at the table soaked through and talking nonsense. Blood sugar 41. Roz got juice in her and called the ambulance and then me. I was on a roof in Red Bank looking at an air handler. I don't remember the drive. By the time I got to Whitlow she was sitting up eating graham crackers and asked me why I wasn't at work. It was Wednesday. Roz comes Wednesday. If it had been Tuesday, nobody opens that door until I call at nine at night. They've stopped the pill that did it. She's going on insulin. A shot, every night, a woman who can't remember if she's had lunch. I brought her home today. I'm staying tonight. I keep getting up to look at her.
