What it says
Arnie tore out Mom's tub this week. Pink tile, 1964. She stood in the hall with her walker and watched it go out the door in buckets. I asked if she was all right and she said she'd hated that tile for forty-nine years and Walter wouldn't change it.
Easter tomorrow. I'll take her to church. First time back since the hip.
I went out to the shop to find a level and stood there. It still smells like him. Cut pine and 3-in-1 oil. I found the level and went back in.
