six spreads done, four inked, four in pencil. the left wrist has started clicking again from holding the iPad ten hours a day. I've got it propped on the drafting table now with a rolled towel, and I do the soup can exercises from two years ago while files save.
the year-going-by spread scares me. it's four seasons on one page and if any one is wrong the whole thing is a calendar instead of a year.
Lu came by after her shift and sat on the floor with Miso and didn't talk while I inked. after an hour she said "you do this thing with your mouth when it's going well." I asked what thing. she said "I'm not telling you or you'll stop."
she also said the shop isn't the same on the days I'm not there, and then looked like she wished she hadn't. I don't know what to do with that.
