Miso had her teeth done yesterday. they took one out, a premolar that had a hole in it under the gum. the vet says it would have been hurting for months. she ate every meal. she purred. she never said a thing.
I keep thinking about that. that you can live with someone and not know.
I'd saved 540 for it since october, ten or twenty at a time in an envelope in the desk, and the bill was 538. I've never in my life had the money for a thing waiting before the thing arrived. I stood at the counter and paid with cash like a man in a film.
she came home wobbly and outraged and slept on my chest all night with her face in my neck. it's 91 degrees. I bought the air conditioner two weeks ago and it was worth it for this alone, a hot cat on my chest in a cold room.
colour samples are due the 31st. the ice-breaking spread is almost there. I can't get the sound into it yet.
