What it says
clinic today. I had the list in my pocket and I actually read from it, like a kid giving a report. sleeping ten hours. not drawing. every winter, but this one didn't lift. and then the thing in february.
Corinne didn't write for a while, she just listened, and then she said "that's a lot of winters to do this by yourself." she had me fill in the form with the nine questions. she said the number and what it meant and that it wasn't a verdict.
so: sertraline. half dose for two weeks, then the full. she said give it six weeks before I decide anything about it. she also said find someone to talk to and gave me a sheet of sliding-scale places. vitamin D. come back in six.
I thought I'd feel like I'd failed something. I walked out and the sun was on the snowbanks and they were going grey and collapsing and I mostly felt like I'd finally gone to get the car looked at.
picked it up at the pharmacy on the way home. the bottle is on the counter next to the rice cooker. Miso sniffed it and left.
