What it says

back. landed last night at nine in a crosswind, took the train and the 21 home because I couldn't face the cold car. Miso met me at the door and yelled for a full minute and then wouldn't look at me. Annika had left a note: "she ate everything. she slept on your pillow. she is furious with you. I'm sorry about your grandfather." and a pot of soup in the fridge. the painting is on the wall over the desk. I put it up before I took my coat off. Imogen gave me until the 24th. I sat down tonight to finish the third spot and my hand knew what to do even though I didn't. it's a fox asleep in a boat. it's fine. it's better than fine, which makes me feel strange, that the work is still in there untouched while everything else is not. it snowed four inches while I was gone. someone shoveled out my car. Gerald, obviously.
