I've finished all the spreads and I'm carrying them to St Paul on the Trek, rolled up in a tube on my back, over the Lake Street bridge. the tube is getting heavier. I stop in the middle and look in and it's full of water, lake water, with ice in it. a heron is standing on the bridge railing. it says nothing, it's a bird. but it has the look Odette has when she's about to say "invoice me."
