What it says
Mohs surgery, yesterday. Two passes and the edges were clear. Nine stitches along the crease of the nose.
Wound care, from the sheet:
- The big pressure bandage stays on, dry, until tomorrow morning.
- Then once a day: wash gently with soap and water, pat dry, a thin layer of plain petroleum jelly, a small bandage. Not the antibiotic ointment.
- Head up on two pillows tonight. Ice for ten minutes each hour today if it throbs. Tylenol.
- No bending, lifting or gardening for a week. No swimming until the stitches are out.
- Bleeding: press firmly for twenty minutes by the clock.
- Stitches out Tuesday the 21st, 9:15.
After that he sees me every spring for three years, then every other spring.
