Cataracts: Dr. Okonjo, yesterday. I see 20/50 with the right eye and 20/40 with the left, in my glasses. She says it is time.
- Which first? The right; it is worse. March 12. The left on April 9.
- What goes in? The plain kind Medicare pays for, and glasses still for my astigmatism; or a "toric" lens that corrects it, $1,150.00 an eye out of my own pocket. I said yes to the toric.
- Driving? Someone must bring me and take me home on the day. Connie has claimed it.
- Drops? Four times a day at first, less each week, for four weeks, each eye.
Until then: no driving after dark.
