What it says

The taxes go to Denise tomorrow. This is the first year the government requires R. to take money out of his retirement account whether he wants it or not, and he regards that as an impertinence. Tom Kittleson has arranged it in installments. R. said, "I saved it so I wouldn't have to spend it." The RAV4 sat in the garage for the three weeks we were in Gulf Shores with the truck and has sulked ever since; yesterday it would not start at all. Gary had a new battery in within the hour.
