We have it. R. tested on Saturday, two days after coffee hour, and I on Tuesday, after three days of sleeping in Kate's room with the door shut.
He has the cough and the aches and is on the antiviral, five days, by Dr. Raghavan's order, because of the heart and the sugar; one of his other pills is stopped while he takes it. I have a throat like a rasp and a fever that arrives at four in the afternoon and is gone by morning. I am told to call if my breathing changes. It has not.
Marlene leaves soup on the step and telephones from her kitchen window so that we can wave. Ellen calls at seven and at nine and asks for numbers.
