Judy telephoned the school at 1:40, and Bunny came down from the office to fetch me herself, so I knew before I picked up. Mom has stopped eating. She sleeps most of the day, and the hospice nurse says days, perhaps a week. Sub plans are on the desk. Patricia said go, and not to think about the book fair. R. will stay here with Gus until I call. I leave at six. The roads are clear to Tomah.
