What it says

Church, but out on the ice on Skein Lake, the whole congregation in lawn chairs set six feet apart in a grid, in winter coats. Pastor Kristin was preaching from the door of a fishing shanty. I could see her mouth move and there was no sound at all, and no breath showing from anyone, though it was cold enough. I counted the chairs. There was one too many.
