What it says

Dad looks small in the bed. He's fine - one stent, in through the wrist, he'll be home tomorrow - but he looks small and I wasn't ready for that. He's mostly angry that it happened at the hardware store. "Forty people watched me sit down on a pallet of salt." Mom has not sat down since Sunday. I made her eat a sandwich in the cafeteria and she told me three times that she'd noticed he was tired and should have said something. Erik keeps explaining the cardiology to both of us in the hallway in his nurse voice, and I love him for it. I'm 870 miles away most days.
