What it says

Deb yesterday. I owe about fourteen hundred dollars in federal tax by april, because last year I made two of the four payments and told myself I'd catch up. she wasn't unkind about it. she was worse, she was patient. "you are a business, Theo." so that's april. and Loomfish is nine days past due and hasn't answered the one email I've sent. I rode to the shop and back just to have done something. minus two, the kind of cold where your eyelashes stick. came home and did the budget again as if the numbers might have changed in the cold. they hadn't. told myself what Renee would say: which of these do I control. the tax bucket. the next invoice having a deposit on it. writing email number two. so I wrote email number two. it goes tuesday morning, so it doesn't look like I spent a sunday on it.
