What it says

built the Trek today, all day, at the shop after close with Lu. 1987, older than both of us. faded blue with cream panels and lugs somebody filed by hand. Lu faced the bottom bracket shell and chased the threads and said "this frame's been waiting." bar-end shifters from her parts box. I owe her beer. first ride home at nine with the new light. it's longer than the Surly and it floats. it goes where you look. I rode past the apartment and did the river loop in the dark because I didn't want to stop. registered the serial number before I rode it. carried it up the stairs. it lives in the hall by my door, inside, and I'm not asking.
