What it says

walking in an orchard and the rows are so straight they hurt. salt on the ground like frost. at the end of each row there's the sea standing up like a wall, grey-green, not moving. a woman ahead of me with her back turned, I never see her face. I know if I can count the trees I can go home and every time I get to the end of a row the number has a decimal in it.
